v1 v2 1 = Welcome to Trac 0.11=1 = Welcome to Black Magic's Trac = 2 2 3 Trac is a '''minimalistic''' approach to '''web-based''' management of 4 '''software projects'''. Its goal is to simplify effective tracking and handling of software issues, enhancements and overall progress. 3 This is the Trac for Black magic. 5 4 6 All aspects of Trac have been designed with the single goal to 7 '''help developers write great software''' while '''staying out of the way''' 8 and imposing as little as possible on a team's established process and 9 culture. 5 Black magic is an overhaul of eAthena, it is closed source for now, but not commercial. It will never go commercial simply because it is impossible. There are too many other people who have worked on it under a free open source license and it would be illegal for me to take money for their work. 10 6 11 As all Wiki pages, this page is editable, this means that you can 12 modify the contents of this page simply by using your 13 web-browser. Simply click on the "Edit this page" link at the bottom 14 of the page. WikiFormatting will give you a detailed description of 15 available Wiki formatting commands. 7 That being said... 16 8 17 "[wiki:TracAdmin trac-admin] ''yourenvdir'' initenv" created 18 a new Trac environment, containing a default set of wiki pages and some sample 19 data. This newly created environment also contains 20 [wiki:TracGuide documentation] to help you get started with your project. 9 The objective is to completely overhaul eAthena to fit the view of a magic user. Adding new classes and new systems. Rewriting magic and creating quests for spells and a school to learn new skills or increase your skills beyond the previous limits. There will be new classes like necromancer, sorcerer, howler, moon walker... and there will be changes to existing classes as well. 21 10 22 You can use [wiki:TracAdmin trac-admin] to configure 23 [http://trac.edgewall.org/ Trac] to better fit your project, especially in 24 regard to ''components'', ''versions'' and ''milestones''. 11 There will be a faction system representing the school and town you live in/attend... as well as a good and evil faction. WoE will be reinvented and changed to include a political system similar to L2. Guilds will also be changed, themsleves to include voting to change the guildmaster, there will also be guild halls, which will include buffers, treasurers and other types of staffing to manage and support guilds. 25 12 13 Aside from that there will be a particular class that should be rather interesting to people. Resembling a hunter there will be a charmer. A charmer will be able to charm any beast into working along side it for an ammount of time, also it will (after a long time in development) be able to ride on some special beasts. 26 14 27 T racGuide is a good place to start.15 There will also be a concept of diseases, including vampirism and lycanthropianism. That is to say, should a player contract a disease there is a slight chance they could inflict it on you. 28 16 29 Enjoy! [[BR]] 30 ''The Trac Team'' 17 The marriage/adoption system will be changed and cooking system will be overhauled. Marriage will require consent of your town/city's elder and the rings. You will be able to choose where you will get married (depending on your money) and people will be able to teleport to your wedding via invitations that will be sent through the mail system. Cooking will now take time and have a chance of failing and producing a less tasty meal depending on your cooking ability. 31 18 32 == Starting Points == 19 The mail system will become a mandatory part of everyone's gaming experience, it will operate almost all of the events and various other things like bills. Player housing will be added after the instancing system is added, allowing players to have an apartment (or married couples to have a house) within the apartments players will have the ability to keep pets (depending on the house) the pets will be completely different from the ones players already have and will level up as you feed them/play with them. As they level up they will gain buffs that you will receive as you enter your home. The home will also feature a bed for you to rest and recover from some diseases, heal and pass time. There will also be a kitchen used in the cooking system. 33 20 34 * TracGuide -- Built-in Documentation 35 * [http://trac.edgewall.org/ The Trac project] -- Trac Open Source Project 36 * [http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracFaq Trac FAQ] -- Frequently Asked Questions 37 * TracSupport -- Trac Support 21 Night and day will influence your character, environment, monsters and NPCs. The NPCs will go indoors at night, allowing for players to socialize and take a break from grinding, or learn to appreciate that warper when they have to walk to the leveling spot. Monsters in some areas will be affected by day and night, some monsters will only spawn during the day, some only at night. Those inflicted with vampirism will only be able to be outdoors for so long during the day before they start taking damage from the sun (which can be avoided with certain equipment) and those infliced with lycanthropianism will transform, forcing them to feed. If they do not feed, they will get stat penalties once morning arrives. 38 22 39 For a complete list of local wiki pages, see TitleIndex. 23 New weapon types will be added and dual wielding will be added for most classes. Staves will be enchantable, meaning you can go to your favorite whitesmith buddy and have them make your staff more powerful for certain elements, depending on if they learned it in school, and of course if you have the required items. 24 25 Races will be added, certain races will have more power than others in some areas and will have special abilities. There will be classes exclusive to certain races, however most of the classes will be available to every race. 26 27 and more.
